About "Dirt"
"Dirt" is the ninth movie filmed all or in part in El Paso by director Bryan G Thompson, founder of Imani Films. The gritty storyline revolves around five characters who form an unlikely alliance against a common enemy.
To rescue his kidnapped partner, a rogue police detective must rely on the syndicate’s top lieutenant "Dirt" along with the man’s wife and two girlfriends all of whom have their own reasons for risking their lives to destroy the crime syndicate.
The movie was filmed entirely in El Paso and features Univision weather anchor Aldo Acosta, professional wrestler Frank Stone, actress (UTEP graduate) Diajesma Orozco, and actor Jamal Woolard, known for his lead role in the film “Notorious”, just to name a few of the amazing cast members!
Executive produced and distributed by Maverick Entertainment in association with Imani Films, the film is scheduled for release in late 2023 on multiple platforms including Peacock, Amazon, Tubi, Redbox and more!
